Reading BINGO

I set my 2014 GoodReads Challenge at 52 books this year (up from an accomplished 50 books in 2013). I also have a goal to read from a wider author demographic – including race, nationality, and gender identity.

Although not explicitly geared toward that goal I saw this Reading BINGO sheet and thought it might help diversify my reading.

I have several friends and family members who are (so far) on board to play this year. My mom called me the other day just to say she’s reading her “blue book.”

At this point I have crossed off 4 boxes

A book that became a movie: Argo: How the CIA and Hollywood Pulled Off the Most Audacious Rescue in History by Antonio Mendez

A book set on a different continent: The Bonesetter’s Daughter by Amy Tan

A book with a mystery: Croak by Gina Damico

A book based on a True Story: Orange is the New Black by Piper Kerman

I will not use a book to check off more than one square – no duplication!
If you want to play print off your own copy and let me know how you’re progressing!
